Federal baseline
28 U.S.C. § 1875 — Federal law protects an employee's JOB during federal jury service (no discharge, intimidation, or coercion) but does NOT require employers to pay wages. Remedies for violation: reinstatement, lost wages/benefits, civil penalty up to $5,000 per violation, court-appointed counsel. Verified June 16, 2026.
A “—” in the employer-pay column means the state has no statute requiring employer-paid wages (federal law protects the job, not the pay). “Provisional” rows are pending re-verification because the state portal was unreachable at last compile; see the methodology.
