Update log

Every verification pass and data correction, newest first. Jury-pay law is evergreen but legislatures do amend per-diems and leave rules — this is how we keep the trail honest.
  1. June 16, 2026

    All 50 states + DC

Initial verification pass. Compiled jury-duty employer-pay, anti-retaliation, and court per-diem data from state legislative-information systems and court primary sources. 47 of 51 jurisdictions primary-source verified; the remaining 4 (Alaska, Georgia, Kentucky, Rhode Island) flagged provisional because their statute portals were unreachable at compile time.

  2. June 16, 2026

Texas, New York, North Dakota, Nevada, Virginia

Caught and corrected stale per-diem figures against current statute text: TX now $20/$58 (HB 3474, 2023); NY $72/day (effective June 8, 2025); ND $50/$100 (2023); NV $65 (2023); VA $50.

  3. June 16, 2026

    Florida

Verified Florida's jury per-diem from Fla. Stat. §40.24 directly ($15/day first 3 days, $30/day after), explicitly avoiding the unrelated §222.11 homestead/wage-exemption statute.

Refresh schedule: annual full re-verification, with mid-cycle updates as states publish changes.
